Default I'm baaaaaak!

You buys yer ticket and you take yer chances. Tomorrow marks the
first anniversary of the excision of two swollen left neck lymph nodes
that I was told 5 days later were malignant. I wound up with stage IV
H&N cancer with the two tumors located on the back of my tongue and
began agressive treatment on the 16th of May which was, coincidently,
our 28th wedding anniversary. Yesterday I learned that a needle
biopsy of an enlargement along the left neck disection came back with
a preliminary result of inconclusive. Gotta wait til the first of the
week to get the rest of the story.

I slowed my posting after the conclyusion of chemo(erbitux)/radiation
therapy last August. Subsequently I went through a two week elation,
a five week depression, and the balance of adjusting to this new
normality that comes with the treatments I received to survive cancer
and defer death. It is interesting, sad, and somewhat overwhelming to
see who of us have left and who remain. Thanks to all you caregivers,
past and present for hanging in here with us.

So, I thought I would say hello and let you join me on my journery
once again. I'll be back soon to let you know the more complete
diagnosis and prognosis. My love and empathy to you all. Remember,
we're all in this together. Happy Easter! ipunty

I am delighted to see you finally. Don't you hate the waiting game we play?
Makes me nuttier.
The first of the week isn't all that long, I bet you make it just fine. You
have holiday dinner and kids/grand kids to see before then and it fills your
time.
Best of luck next week and I hope your results are just grand!!

Betsy

Dear "ipunty,"

Your post and others like it make me feel very guilty-lucky that my problem
is much less severe so far, and also humble when I see the positive attitude
and will to survive you express.

Welcome back, and I so agree with you when you say :

"Remember, we're all in this together."

A blessed and happy Easter to you and your family.

regards, Uncle Sally
