Default Lori's updates

Hello group!! Went to see my doc today. He's sending me for more
tests. Nuclear medicine and to see a thyroid specialist. The GOOD news
is he is pretty confident that it's nothing. Ultrasound showed that
the lumps are cystic (fluid filled) rather than solid. Next we
determine whether they are "hot" or "cold". I assume the specialist
will do the dreaded biopsy. (Not a big fan of a needle going into my
neck)
As for Murray. He's looking thin and weak but aside from a bit of
fatigue and a REALLY sore mouth he says he's feeling okay. He's only
106 LBS. At 5ft9 he looks so frail.
I told him when he gets out, he can have all the steaks and burgers he
wants.
I miss him here at home so much. Lonely nights. I've been sleeping on
the couch at night because it feels less lonely, and if I cuddle up to
the back of it, I can almost kid myself into believing he's beside me.
Pretty pathetic eh?
More positive news though. My Christmas shopping is nearly done. Not
that it has anything to do with this group but I feel the need to brag.
This will be the 1st year I won't need to shop on Christmas eve.
Thank Christ because Walmart is NOT the place you want to be on the
24th of December unless you have patience of steel.
Anyways, I'm off. Take care all.

Good News,Lori. How are his mood swings?

Been there, done that, down to 90 lbs, but nursed back by my loving wife.
You can do it too.

Hi Bill
His mood has been pretty decent. (touch wood) I'm finding he bitches
and nitpicks like a nasty woman sometimes but it's shortlived usually.
He hasn't been half as bad as he was a couple weeks ago.

Not to worry Lori about biopsy procedure - I just had 11 fine needle
biopsies on my thyroid nodules; a few I didn't feel at all, some were a
little stinging, none were worse than having your blood drawn. I have
multinodular hyperthyroid with retrosternal goiter (all benign, but they
think probably inoperable at this point, a little risky they said). So
taking antithyroid to get my numbers down and maybe even decrease the size
of my huge thyroid.

Hang in there,
Tracey
