Default Lung Cancer

Hi everyone...I havent had time to visit this site for a few months
but wanted to tell you all
my husband John passed away March 7. Just wanted to say thank you all
for the information
and support you have given me.
He was diagnosed with Lung Cancer June 07, and went through all the
treatments. The last chemo knocked him for a loop. We stopped after
the 7th day but he was too weak to recover
his strength.

Didnt think I would be strong enough to see him die but it was very
quiet and almost serene.
Had lots of help from Home Care nurses so he was able to have a Home
death which is what
he wanted.

Thanks again all of you. Hang in there.

Ciao for now

Macy

I'm sorry for your loss, Macy.

Hello Macy, I'm so sorry to learn of your loss, may you take some comfort
from knowing that John is now at peace. You still have a rollercoaster ride
in front of you and grief is a strange beast, take each day as it comes and
one day your memories of your husband will bring smiles again rather than
tears. We never truly lose our loved ones, they lurk in our memories and in
our hearts for ever.

Warm Hugs

Alayne

Macy,

I am so very sorry about your husband. The rollercoaster ride of grief is
not easy, so please take care of yourself. My husband died of lung cancer
in Oct 06. If you have any questions, please ask.

Hugs,
Cori

Hi there.

I lost my Dad to lung cancer last october. I was with him when he died, and
like you I didn't think I would be strong enough to be with him
either....but like you say, death can actually be a very peaceful and very
serene experience. I would never be scared of being with someone when they
died ever again.

It must be a very tough time for you right now....I am still raw with pain 5
months on, but I know that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Stay strong - hang in there.

Love
Heidi xxx

Macy,
My husband has lung cancer, dx Nov. 7, and I feel your pain. Those on here
always know the right words and maybe I don't, but I pray for you to have
continuous joy, peace and love in your life. He'll never leave you, not
really.

love & hugs,
Giuditta
