There's now an (lung cancer) awareness ad running on (some) Canadian TV.
featuring Sandie Rinaldo and/or survivors and/or loved ones.
[if anyone contacts the phone numbers below and finds it unhelpful, for
any reason, please let me know.
I don't want to repost these if it leads nowhere, since I haven't called
them myself.
Likewise, if they're helpful let us know. (I'm talking about the 1-888
number)
Thanks,
J

Help and Support is Just a Phone Call Away.
Peer support provides cancer patients and their family members with an
opportunity to speak privately and confidentially with a trained and
knowledgeable peer about their circumstances, concerns and needs.
Lung Cancer Canada has a diverse team of volunteers comprised both of lung
cancer patients and caregivers of lung cancer patients. To the extent
possible, callers are matched with peer support volunteers based on type
of lung cancer, type of treatment, age, gender and the like.
Lung Cancer Canada is delighted to have launched its peer support program
in November 2003. Now, lung cancer patients and their caregivers from
anywhere in Canada can access support and help with just a phone call.
All calls are strictly confidential.
