Default Melanoma (Lymph Node Removal)

When melanoma spreads to the lymph nodes under the left arm, what is the
standard procedure -- "CLND" to take out ALL lymph nodes, or "TLND" to
take out affected lymph nodes. Oncologist and surgeon do not agree,
waiting for a 2nd surgical opinion...

Thanks in advance.

What are the long-term consequences? Will he be able to use his arm?
