Hi All:
My Blood test came back today. Very Low white cell. Dr. gave me a shot of
Neulastin? Spelled wrong I know It's a white Blood cell booster. So I'm off
of Chemo for 2 weeks. Either way I Won't be on Chemo when I go to visit my
dad the week of Dec 11th.

Aside from that I have been sick. Got Flu shot. And Got the flu. I thought
the shot was to prevent not give it to you. Anyhow I'm tired lost about 8
lbs down to 160Lbs am trying to get up to 170-180Lbs a good weight for me. I
can't afford to loose much more weight or my new Oncologist will toss me in
the hospital to gain some weight. Since I have had this cancer I loose
weight real easy. Before all of this ever happened loosing 10 lbs was really
hard. Now 2-3 days and POOFF!!

The thing is I'm eating aroung 2500Cal a day and still having a hard time
keeping my weight up or to gain anything.

Any suggestions on how gain weight. Without eating 2 gallons of ice cream a
week.

Frank

You could always try eating two gallons of ice cream a day... ;-)

My thoughts exactly.
I don't know how a person whose cancer is spreading can gain weight, so he
might as well enjoy..if he finds ice cream enjoyable.

Cancer's not particularly pleasant: sufferers may as well get some
enjoyment where they can. And if that means forcing yourself to eat
lots of yummy things... Of course if you don't care for ice cream then
you won't want to try the cure for weightlessness. Hmm, I wonder: if I
eat the ice cream for the non-ice-cream-lover will I be able to send ice
cream shaped vibes and avoirdupois shaped vibes over the ether? It
could be worth a try. Here goes... I am eating ice cream and in
between mouthfulls I'm waving my hands about theatrically whilst saying
meaningful things like 'om'. I am transferring all that horrible cold
flavoursome stuff to you via ESP. You are putting on weight instead of
me. Howzat?

Frank,
Ask your doctor about fish oils.
It's in clinical trial. http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct/show/NCT00094562
I can't promise it'll help...
