Yes, I informed quite a few people of how John Edwards let us down
here in NC during his run for President, and later VP, by abdicating
his office for his self-aggrandizement.
The people in alt.support.cancer were particularly vociferous, saying
that I was doing it just for political purposes. I informed them that
I intend on voting for the Democratic party Presidential ticket (as I
have told all of you here before), but with one caveat. That John
Edwards is NOT on the ticket, either as the Pres. or VP candidate.
He did us terribly wrong here in NC in 2004. And it is not only a
political issue. It is a moral one as well. It is not right for him
to say he would drop his run for Pres in 2008 if Elizabeth's "illness"
got worse - which they said it now has. But somehow, Elizabeth
"convinced" him (her words, not mine) to continue to run. It seems
that in her viewpoint that America needs him too much. And now, 1
month after the announcement she is "responding well to the medicine"
and so "it was the right decision for the Edwardses and America, after
all."?
Someone hand me a barf bag, I think I am gonna be sick!
I told those people not to let the "commonality issue" sway their
minds. Maybe you people from NC can affirm what I said is true! That
John Edwards ABANDONED us here in NC in 2004. And that it is a MORAL
issue that needs to be brought to the fore - both the sins and
indiscretions he committed at the cost of us people in NC by
abandoning us in 2004 AND that the Edwardses used this both in 2004
AND 2008 for their own self-aggrandizement.
Maybe a release of her papers to the public could assuage the concern
about the criticality of her illness. But us people let down in NC
when John Edwards let his Senate seat for his Presidential and VP runs
will NEVAH be forgotten by those of us here in NC. NEVAH!
