My Mom passed this morning.......

.....at around 8am. My dad was with her; i was out watering my Mom's
plants on the porch. I sat with her until the hospice nurse came and
then till the funeral folks came. It was nice having that last bit of
time with her.....just sitting there, feeling her all around me. Very
sad for me as i won't have her with my physically, but very happy for
her as this journey is now over.

Thank you, folks, so much for the advice and just for listening to me
the past year or so. This has been such a place of comfort for me....i
have felt among friends here.

you is looking at the Lord right now. I don't know your beliefs, but that's
awesome to think about.

Thank you so much, everyone, for the kind words. I'm now back home; i
asked my Dad if it was okay to take my Mom's robe and her glasses with
me and he packed them up for me as well as asking me to please take
some of her plants. It's comforting having these items with me here as
it makes me feel her around me. Words can't describe how much i miss
her already~i'm going to be a Mommy this year and wished she could have
been here to see me try to be the Mom that she was to me.

I'll be checking in from time to time.....and thank you again for all
of the kind words, suggestions and advice this past year. This journey
would have been so much more lonely without all of you.

It's good that you have some momento's of your mum around you. One day your
memories of your mum will bring smiles rather than tears. Our loved ones
never fully leave us, they are their lurking in our memories and in our
hearts forever.

Isabel!! Our Moms passed on the same day and within minutes (Mom went at
7:37 a.m.)!! I'm extremely sorry for you and your dad. I know how you
feel!! If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have gone down to Mom's to stay
with her to the end. I thought about you and I was so glad you helped me
make the decision. As hard as it was, I will ALWAYS have my mom's last few
days with me. No, I won't remember her being so sick... I will remember
her being the Diva that she was.

Hi Laurie....i've been thinking about you lately! I knew that our Moms
passed away on the same day...and know that i thought about you knowing
that. Like you, i'm so glad that i was so close when she passed~as
much as a relief as it was knowing that she wasn't suffering, i felt
sad for my sister and i. We miss her already so very much....
