Bob,
I suppose you could ask at ER (or an Ear, Nose Throat specialist - ENT) if
it's just one area that can be cauterized, but if other areas start spouting
out bleeds, then your blood counts are too low and/or the blood vessels damaged
by the chemo.
If so, each time it happens, you have to go to ER and get your nostril(s?)
packed.
The longer you continue chemo, the worse it will get and you will require the
packings and blood transfusions. That happened with another lady's husband (a
year or so ago) and at some point, the insurance wouldn't pay for transfusions
anymore, so she had to fund them herself, if I recall correctly. Got very
expensive, not to mention the mess and the panicky trips to ER.
What do you hope to accomplish with the chemo? And/or the microspheres?
