Well, if he was just using Socks, I don't know how they would have thought
political, just odd. LOL But maybe he was still Socks the Whitehouse Cat
then. Now THERE'S a political statement for you! He never mentioned to
me. You'd think they'd give terminal cancer patients some latitude, but we
weren't there, so we don't know.
I subscribed to an ACOR list called Facing Forward, a grief support group.
I admit I never got involved, just read some, but it was very strange
indeed. Some nice people, yes, but there was one woman who had lost a
young son who dominated. It looked like that's what she mainly did in life,
write on the site. They recently asked her to leave due to some
infraction, sending a personal email or something similar. I asked for
digest mode (once a day email) & for some reason every post was repeated
many, many, many times, so many that I had trouble following. I asked the
moderator about that & she said that was their way.
People tend to post very long there, like a diary. Then people responded
with diaries of their own & then everyone copied everything that had come
before. Not a lot of meaningful interaction. Not my cuppa.

J,
Thanks for that. I don't think I hit that one back when I was reading
old posts. It was just like having him here in the room. Their list,
their rules - yep, that was Socks! Not bending himself, yet total
respect for others' rights. I think he was the most consistent person I
have ever known.
It's obvious he got a kick out of you & that you knew him well.

Hi to everyone:
I just leave for a couple of years, and look what I find... I big long discussion. Where is all the help you have given me and all the other? Where are those cheerfull words I had many times heard?
Plese, put apart all those rules and let´s help one each other again. :-)
Anyway, sorry about not showing up. Nicolás is doing great. Since last chemo dosis on january 2005, we have not had any remarkable incident. He is growing quickly and going to school, what he attends from that date. Has many friends and some little problems at school, I believe that mainly due to his age (born on november) that on his treatment.
Anyway, you can find me on plumaveloz at gmail dot com and I will try to visit the group more often.
Regards,

Sorry Á.G.,
I don't know if her email address is munged (or not). It looks like it is.
So I'm replying to you, in case she missed your other messages.
She's here posting.
I did hear that some emails were stalled (big time) through blackberries..so maybe she
emailed you, and it's taking time to get through to you. Just a theory...
If we don't get a reply here, I'll "ping her" with your info.

Sorry about the delay in replying. I keep saving it for last,
then don't get that far before something takes me away from the
computer. Glad to make contact! Will followup off list.

Una,
Even realizing you don´f feel very confortable on this newsgroup, I suggest you to openly talk on this list . What we could exchange may help others.
Anyways, If you prefer a one on one chatter, my email is plumaveloz at gmail dot com. I show up often on Microsoft messenger at plumaveloz hotmail com or on Skype as plumaveloz. Amaze and worry me that you couldn´t find me at "first touch".
Looking for your response,

| | | Re: Ping a A. G. (padre de Nicolas, bebe con teratoma) Angel, recently you posted in es.charla.enfermedad.cancer that you
could be found at plumaveloz at gmail dot es, which bounced. And
some of your other accounts that I found and tried also bounced.
After a time I decided to try the lazy method and simply ping you.
And, see, it worked!
