A general term for about 100 diseases characterized by uncontrolled, abnormal growth of cells. The resulting mass, or tumor, can invade and destroy surrounding normal tissues. Cancer cells from the tumor can spread through the blood or lymph (the clear fluid that bathes body cells) to start new cancers in other parts of the body (metastases).

Cancer what does this word say to you?

Wouldn't it be nice if they changed the word 'Cancer' we all think the worse when we hear it but things have moved on in leeps and bounds.

Cancer is no longer the 100% theat it was, maybe a change in name would move, motitvate and sociologically help to cure a greater number of people.

Any ideas on a new name?
