Your day in work?
Each day will be a little bit easier than
the one before, and the first is the worst.
Been thinking about you.

Hey thanks!!!
I was very nervous driving to work, and then Carrie Underwood's song "Jesus
Take the Wheel" came on the radio and made me feel better.
My students had welcome back posters and cards everywhere, bittersweet.
During lunch when I was keeping the ISS students, a friend text messaged me
to pray because her school had a shooter, and she was scared.
She said they were on a code red (school code for guns) and that they were
on lock-down. We kept texting, I called the newspaper where I used to work
and showed the message to my principal, and he ran out of the cafeteria and
called someone. Her school is about 10 miles from us.
Last text I received said she was grungy, bladder about to burst and that
they were all about to be transported by buses to another location fast with
no time for bathroom breaks...I have been trying to text her back but get no
answer, so I'm concerned about her.
In one text she said it was on the local news and on CNN, too, so if you
hear about a school called Rosafort in Tunica, MS, you'll know that's the
one.
So, never a dull moment in my life and in those who live around me, but my
friend's problem was greater than me going to work today, so it took my mind
off me.
Thanks so much for asking.

Hello Judy
Just a short note to see how you and your family are going. I know
somehow you will get through everything and come through a wiser and
giving person because you alone will know what it is like to enjoy
life.

It's going okay, I guess. Thanks. Another teacher told me when her niece
lost her husband she took off six weeks from work. I took off one. But as it
turns out, it's good because I stay busy.
How are you doing?
