Someone to talk to

My name is Barbara, and I am 49 years old. I live in Kent, Washington. I
was diagnosed with colorectal cancer October 5, 2006. I underwent rectual
surgery to have my rectum removed since that was where the cancer was. I
was told that it was caught early so the outcome was that my doctor is sure
that he was able to remove it all. I was in and out of the hospital and
rehab homes from January 5, 2007 to March 11, 2007. when I finally able to
come home. I was off work for 5 months and got very depressed because now I
have to wear a Ostomy bag for the rest of my life. I have always been able
to take care of myself so I live alone and single. But, I feel right now
that I am damaged goods and that no gentleman out there would want to be
with me because the thought of seeing the bag when we are alone. I just
need someone to talk to at times when I am down.....If you are
out....please messages me...

There's also a discussion board (click on the bottom of the page).
You can read as much as you wish and get to know the people there, some, before
deciding if you wish to register.
I picked the young people's section and immediately found a similar concern.
I'm sure you'll find people to talk with there and with time, the right person
to share your life.
Remember there's always someone worse off then we are.

I don't know either, but if she's not waiting for newsgroup replies, she
may be missing out on a lot.
One of those websites had a link to beautiful lingerie with a discretely
placed pouch for the bag.

I hope you'll join the above forum.
They had other excellent tips there, as well as very caring people.
Some of the repliers know all the sections, so if they are told told your
concern, might point you to a differnt section.
I'm sure they take good care of posters. I read quite a bit there and reassured
of that.
If you tell them the area you live in, people get together for cookouts or other
social events and before you know it,
friendships lead to other friendships and you'll have a whole circle of people
to help you when you feel down.

i need to be seen again about the lump that i found on my left breast.

Barb, have you seen the commercials for the new Lexus cars? Wouldn't it
be fun to go to a dealer and ask him to show us how it works? I'd love
to see that car park itself with out any parent yelling instructions!
No lighthouses in your neighborhood? Have you climbed one? My son took
me to one that wasn't too tall and we climbed it together. It was a
blast!
