This is an excerpt of an interview, with Nuala O'Faolain, replayed
yesterday on CBC One.

While it may seem like she was depressed, there was also laughter and
chuckles.
It was a candid look at her past, life in Ireland, her family, how
different things were living in NY, her realization that she was a
"somebody", despite never marrying nor having kids and how her mother used
to classify people as "somebodies" or "nobodies".

She passed away recently, from metastatic lung cancer, several weeks after
the interivew.
