The mid-term election aren't even over and the GOP is talking about
bipartisan unity and democrats and republicans working together.

Old hat. I called that way back when the GOP took control of congress
during the Clinton administration and the Dems were saying the very same
things.

Politicians always kiss each others asses whenever they switch chairs.

I call this progress :-)

Rummy is already 74, so I don't demand that he
should go to prison for his crimes.

Next, Cheney has to step down.

I don't remember Clinton forcing the CIA and FBI to falsify reports to get
us into a multi-theater conflict. When did that happen?

Cheney and Rummie need to be investigated for war profiteering... and then
hanged by the neck until dead.

One cartoon I saw recently had a donkey looking in the mirror,
with an elephant looking back (and an elephant seeing a donkey)

I don't like either of them much. It has mystified me
for many years now why there's any loyalty to either. I have
the advantage of coming from a 3rd generation disillusioned
family background, from the hints I can glean about it.

How about that aspirin factory in Sudan?

The Bush administration just pushed this onto the next level.

I wouldn't compare that to the full blown invasion of two countries under
false pretenses.

Can you be sentenced to auto-erotic-asphyxiation?

I've also never understood why so many people have a strong preference for
one or the other. I suspect many of them are one or two issue thinkers.

Two countries? You can't say that to Thomas. Isn't Germany involved in
Afghanistan also?

yes, the whole administration in extemly scary... just watching Bush
speak at his press conferance yesterday was scary... about how we need
to "win" in Iraq before the soldiers can go home... how exactly are we
going to "win" in Iraq? he still doesn't get it... but I guess in the
insane world we live in, we have to appreciate all the good news we
can, and this mid term election certainly provided some very good
news...

He can. He just did.

Yes. Unfortunately, Germany is somewhat "involved" in Iraq, too.
Just not to the extended that Bush would have
wanted Germany to be involved.
