Well, really, you win again and I'm
happy when mines fail, in general,
because of the scarring of earth. It's
tough on the people who get displaced
and I was thinking of them. And, oh
geez, I bet the mayor is bummin' hard. |

There was something in it. Apparently,
one company owes close to half a million
dollars to local businesses and anonter
one might owe close to that. Bad times
ahead for locals if these companies
declare bankruptcy and reneg on the debts. |

What were they excavating?
Were they following a rich vein that crapped out a lot quicker than the
geologists expected? |

coal mining , open pit coal mining ,
but the price of coal is real iffy ,
and its expensive to go through ,
the whole process if you don't have a buyer ,
and the major coal buyers ,
are a lot closer to other coal mines ,
so every now and then this happends |
