bullet on installing it?
I have no intention of switching to IE as my browser, but I can only
imagine that MS will begin to force it on users just as they have with
their "Genuine Advantage" program. |

on the new OS that they are going to include IE 7. It's not bad,
improved interface, security, and options. As always though I am
somewhat leary of new products coming out, from any company. I'm sure
its ok to give it a try though.
This is they're homepage: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx

I installed it a few days ago. Nothing special. It just makes it hard to
find the little buttons you want to press. I don't use IE, so with the
upgrade nothing has changed.... Oh, and it'll erase all the bookmarks.

I use Opera and Firefox, but keep IE for the same reason as you.

I do just the same. I don't actually have any IE bookmarks...so fire away!
I could just use the Automatic Updates, but I'd prefer to run it when it
works for me and the easiest way is to just open IE and start Windows
Update (oh, and Office Update too).
I've been reading some of the posts in ms.public.ie.general and there
are some interesting comments. |

At work we use QuickBooks pro, it's not compatible with IE7... Says we have
to use IE6. I'm not going to downgrade at work unless it starts causing
issues. |

I do have a copy of QNX somewhere, I remember showing it off to some of
the other IT guys back when it first showed up on the scene.
....and if I look over to yonder shelf I see boxed copies of BeOS (*and*
the GoBe office suite for it), and OS/2 Warp.
The Be operating system is/was just amazing. |

I want one of those Beboxes with the LED panels on the front.

It is. I think I remember something about Palm buying Be Inc a couple
years ago.

I hear ya, but the prices I've seen them selling for makes me less fond
of blinkenlights!
I'd also love a Next cube...I wish I had a link to the guy who stripped
it down to the raw magnesium and then polished it to a mirror

Yea, and look how much they've done with that IP!
They should have opened up the source as the OSS community was begging
for and then made their devices able to run a world of software that
would be developed for them...for free. |

amazed that he had over $60k of outstanding invoices owed to him.
Whenever he went to check out such thing it would start dragging ass so

took him almost all of the slow season (November-March) to do so. Sigh,

However I detest the management/business side of business, so I didn't
