the natives are gathering

it must be homecoming weekend. i can hear the music going at the high
school behind my house already.

last nite they started the evening with a guitar solo star spangled
banner (hendrix style). the guitarist played it pretty straight til
the end. it was pretty sweet. he dragged out the last note too long
tho and by the time he stopped the applause had already stopped. weird
silent pause befor the p.a. system bs got going.

yeah...it's in the air everywhere around here.

i was in jersey last nite and the local h.s. had their festivities
going on too.
