New person

I've just been reading some of the messages posted here and wanted to
drop in.....feels like this might be a good place for me since I'm
"depressed"....and have been for about 12 years now. Nope...the doc
still hasn't found the right combination of drugs. Ever wonder why
everything in life is sooooo difficult ? I'm also a very recent empty
nester....meaning my youngest and last child just moved out and I never
felt so alone in my life. Am I off-subject here ? Well...this is
kinda awkward....bearing my soul to the world. Anyway....I'd like to
linger for while if it's okay....and maybe make some new friends and
ease the loneliness....and find out how others cope with life.

Nothing is off-subject here. That is counter-intuitive since being on topic
is important for most all Usenet groups. But a.s.d. and some others are
exceptions.

Venting, about any topic, can offer some relief from depression. If anyone
tells you differently, just tell them to go to hell and ignore them.

I think you are in the right place.

i just saw your post and wanted to tell you that you are definitely in the
right place.

i hate the thought of my baby moving out of the house. i just dealt with my
oldest leaving in july, and i'm not ready to think of the other 2 leaving
just yet. my heart sure goes out to you!!!!
