Default No good reason

I hate it when someone gets mad at you just because you don't know something

Thank heavens it's not everyone. There are lots of things I don't know.

Well hello hello sugaree. I don't know string theory
(for any discernable values of $know) but I'm not mad
at myself for not knowing it. Or at you. Or at
postdoc physicists of my acquaintance.

Certainly not at c., the OP.

I was mistaken, it's more complex than I thought. I'm starting from
the beginning...I'm now reviewing the use of variables and constants.

yes, it's advanced. well past high school (or remedial) algebra.

basic string theory requires GR (general relativity) and QFT (quantum field
theory) which build on differential geometry, quantum mechanics, classical
mechanics, special relativity, differential equations, etc.

more advanced string theory uses K-theory, Lie algebras, non-commutative
geometry, etc.

even First Course in String Theory requires about 3 to 4 years of college
math and physics (assuming you took pre-calc or calc in high school).
