i didn't know they had KFC in Japan. although she did live in States too.

i have seen substituted and transposed characters in the newsgroup next
door, but never that type of change in a couple of hours.

i went 6 hours at work, not being able to understand conversations, so
anything is possible.

Exactly. *I am following a white light you know* combined with four lines
of gibberish and one of my red flags went up. I understand most of what
eoygeo writes so for me not to understand her had me a little worried.
