Naw it's not that, I tend to attract guys who verbally and physically abuse
me. It's this low self esteem thing, I believe I don't deserve any better
so I accept negative attention. I also have this weird thing in believing
there is good in everyone, accept myself of course.

Well, looking back at it, maybe he did mean it as a joke. The problem
is, % frequently posts this kind of stuff NOT as a joke. In fact, the
night before this he went on a bender shotgunning everyone. A jewish
joke from someone who is jewish might be funny; a jewish joke from Marty
is not. So if it truly was a joke, that it was not picked up as such
should not be surprising.

Jane does hold down jobs well (or claims she does). i agree that she may be
Bipolar Type II and not Type I. most Type I have a very rough time, or so i
hear.

it's the difference between a psychotic schizophrenic and one who just gets
a quick acute episode and recovers completely for a few months. during the
"in between" phases, they can work, and so can some bipolars.

the only reason i am able to work is that i work on fighting it every day.
i also have fun with my insanity and try to be lighthearted at work. i play
video games to unwind. i also have to try several jobs to find one that
works. i have learned like 20 techniques that help me, that i've collected
over a 10 year span.

otherwise i would be on a mental ward (which is where i probably belong, but
i've fucked the system over once again).

I credit having to raise two kids for ability to work... They didn't ask to
be here and it's my responsibility to provide for them and the only way I
can do that is to work, to keep a roof over our heads and food in the
fridge. The other thing is work keeps me semi-sane.

My boss explained it to me like this... "Jane your picker is broken and you
have to stop choosing men for yourself and start to date men you would
normally not date you know the "nice guys". So that's exactly what I am
doing and met and have been dating a really really nice guy, totally
different then anyone I have ever dated. It's foreign and a bit scary at
times but mostly wonderful.
