| | | Saw the DR today... My annual appt. We both agreed the Lamictal isn't doing anything, and
that I am on the right amount of lithium. He's a really nice man, and
I've been going to him for alot of years. Makes me wonder what ['ll do
when I move. It'll be over an hour to his office from the Keys. I hate
the idea of starting over with someone else.
Guess I have pleanty of time to figure it out.
G'nite ASD.

What dose of Lamictal and Li are you on?
I tried Li carbonate first, but just absolutely couldn't stand it.
Lamictal worked well at I'd have to describe it as "subtle" and still
needing to do work myself, but I never expected the meds to do all the
work for me. If I had to go back to Li I'd go with the citrate version. |

I am on 100 mg of Lamictal, but I am going to start phasing it out. It
did absolutely nothing for me.
For years, I was on 600 mg of lithobid, a timed release lithium, and it
worked great. Then they stopped making it, and I had to switch to
Lithium Carbonate. No timed release, so the results are not as good,
and I have to take 900mg.
Now I'm going to switch to Eskalith, which is timed-release, and pray
that it works.
There is another company that will be making Lithobid again, so
hopefully I can switch to that. It worked so well for so long.
aaahhh, my glamorous life......

I didn't get any benefit until about ~300 I'd say. I'm at 400 but I get
headaches if I go higher and I'm happy enough at 400. Finding an
anti-depressant just after that was the ticket. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
