It sucks because I'm lazy and I hate to work. The fact that it's low
status doesn't bother me, I find it amusing. Actually, I find it a
plus, because it makes the competition a little easier. Veyr high
calibre people don't generally seek out this line of work.
For the most part I enjoy it. I think I want to get out of it, I'm
realizing it's not my "passion". I read the trade mags, and I don't get
all tingly reading them. I'm almost 40 and I'm a failure though, I
don't know if I can do anything else at this point. |

I think it's different in the UK than in the US. There is a lot of
meritocracy here, I've seen it first hand many times. From what I've
read, class counts for a lot more over there than over here. |
