Default social vs. non-social drinking

A recent study shows that social drinking leads to higher earnings. Since
social drinkers have larger social networks and better social skills, they
get paid more and promoted more.

My drinking is non-social: I have a beer or two when I come home from work
to calm me down and take away the stress and anxiety. This doesn't help my
career or social life at all, and is probably harmful in the long run.

This makes me feel like a real loser.

i drink a few beers a night, sometimes to the point of drunkeness. i might
drink much more if i made more money. i love beer and champagne.

i drink about half of those beers with company, and half alone. i like
drinking alone because i don't have to drive home.

my peak drinking this year was in September. i got drunk at least half of
the days in the month. it was fun, but when i slowed down, i started having
cravings.

my beer bill was $100 a week. i had to slow down because it was getting
excessive.

i sometimes go out and blow $70 on beer and cigars.

i just got 5 free beers, now i have 9 in the fridge. i am off tomorrow, so
i will drink until i fall asleep while watching TV.
