in the United States, we have places like Walmart and Kroger. believe it or
not, 3 AM is just as inexpensive to shop as 3 PM. unless you are looking
for specific items. you can't get your oil changed or get a decent dinner
at this hour.
Walmart has just about everything a household needs (probably 95%) although
they don't stock high end items.
our town pretty much closes at 7 PM to 11 PM, but a few places are open
later.

The wal-marts in south Florida or at least near where I live are 24 hours |

In the neighborhood I grew up in, almost everything is 24 hours. Only
things like banks and the post office close at night. Where I am now,
because of the crime, places close around 8 and 10.

Is it open 24 hours? The one here is, and it gets robbed a lot. They
lock up the beer at night so nobody will steal it.

In Minnesota I lived in a small farming town, everything closed early just
because it was such a small town. Here where I live now, towns are stacked
so close together and it all feels like an extension of West Palm Beach,
just a huge friggen city, but in reality it's about a dozen cities next to
each other, so all the Wal-Marts and several of the Grocery stores are open
24 hours |

You have to pre-pay after dark here if you want gas. Which reminds me,
tomorrow is the gas boycott day, but I'm sure it'll just turn out like
the day with out immigrants day.
