i always do that to photo's sent to me by london-dave, he used to live
in london, with it's lifestyle, then moved to canada.... his reports
shocked me so much, i can't use capitols in nouns (or elseware) anymore...

reminded

my town is a great deal like the town in northern exposure and I'm Chris
yes there is a hostile here but its in the back of a hotel restaurant

Roslyn, WA is where "Northern Exposure" was filmed, I'm not all that far
from it.............

Also where this great old tavern called "The Brick Tavern"
is..............they still have the trough that ran around the bottom of the

I visited it once on the way home from a trip to Seattle. Ate at Roslyn
cafe and I have a t-shirt advertising KBHR, 570AM "Chris In the Morning:
Coffee, Commentary and Kafka". The building for the radio station looked
like it hadn't been visited in several years, as did Dr. Joel's office.
Layers of dust that would choke a vacuum tout suite.

It was a neat detour, I hope the town doesn't become a nouveau rich
place to build a second home. One of the residents told me that a
massive development was being fought. I'd hate to see that happen
because even if it wasn't famous for the TV show it's still a unique
community. The last thing I'd wish on any community is the cookie cutter
world of Home Depot/Applebees/Wal-Mart/XYZ Massive business. There won't
be any reason ti go anywhere unless you want to see different license
plates.

I also picked up a Hemingway novel from a church book sale that I found
as I dragged my travelling companion on a walk around town to see more
than just the main drag.

yeah it really is a neat little place, Cle Elum and Roslyn but they didn't
win that fight, those condos/homes are going in.........I hope like hell it
doesn't end up like that with a buncha shit but who knows?
