Default what a day...

i took my 15 yr old to her 8:15 softball game, and once i got there, i
decided to stay since it was such a long drive anyway. she could have
gotten a ride home and i could have just left, but i was there and decided
on a whim just to stay and veg out while watching the game. my hubby ended
up walking in the door from work just as it was time to head out to the
ballgame, so i was able to at least leave the 2 munchkins home with him.
they were getting a bath when i left, so all he had to do was herd them off
to bed. we didn't get home from the game til 10:30, but still i managed to
bake brownies, unload the dishwasher, clean up the kitchen, fold a load of
towels, throw another load of towels in the dryer, and start a load of
clothes washing. now i think that i might simply collapse. if only my mind
would turn off. :/

Another day of being a Mama. Its all good. Your daughter reminds me a
bit of myself, being run here & there as a teenager. Today I wish I
would never have played. Seems like time wasted, although I played for
winning teams my entire youthful career.
So you have a 15yr old, an 8yr old, & ?, sorry don't know the last
1. I know how busy u must be. If no one has thanked you for being a mom
lately, THANK-YOU! Yeah I know your not my mom, but I know you work
hard @ it. Have a good one.

i don't think she'll ever regret a minute of it. she has loved sports since
she was 6 yrs old and played baseball on an all boys baseball team. even
then, she was an athlete...she won 1st place for the team that year with an
awesome hit and RBI with 2 outs when she went up to bat.

i have 3 girls, aged 18, 15 and 7. the confusing part is that i also
babysit an 8 yr old girl overnight every 3rd day (her mom is a single mother
who works a 24 hour shift every 3 days) so i often include her in my
complaining since she is so much apart of our lives.

i slept good last night but it just wasn't enough sleep before the alarm
rang. i'm about to head off for a nap before we go trick or treating
tonight! and yes, the preschoolers were great today...we had such a fun
party.

I started playing baseball too, but only because girls softball was not
available. (showing my age). I was also an athlete gooe enough to be
offered college scholarships for basketball & softball. Not that I
didn't enjoy it, I just wish sometimes I would have took a different
path. Other times I think I'd probably be dead w/out it. Its just one
of those things in my life I wonder where I would be w/out it.

:/

that's what we're hoping for for our daughter!

what other kind of path do you wished you'd taken instead? i can't fathom
my daughter picking *anything* else really. i hope she doesn't live to
regret all these sports she's involved in. :/ i keep telling her she can
quit at anytime!
