On the one hand, that's sad. On the other hand, when I stop to think about
it, it could make sense for people like me. There have been times when I
tested like a fiend. As often as every half an hour. And what did it get
me? Nothing. Nada. Not a thing. There was nothing *I* could do to lower
my BG any more. Exercise was raising it. Even a small amount of exercise
like walking. I was already eating next to no carbs trying to get the
numbers low. Didn't work. I had no
insulin and no Dr. would prescribe it
for me because they didn't see my numbers as a problem.
So really there are times when I think it is just silly for me to test to
begin with. Mostly twice a day. Sometimes more, particularly if I think I
am having a hypo. I do still get them but infrequently. But really for me,
most of the time, my tests seem pointless. If I think my numbers are too
high, I show them to my Dr. and I am told I am doing well. So why do I
bother? I don't know...
