Hello friends,

As you know chronic hypertension, diabetes, and retinopathy go hand in
hand, together with renal failure... Has your opthalmologist ever
noted that you had some "copper wiring" in your retinas? Well, that
term refers to damage in your retinas, caused by hypertension,.....
and it tends to ba associated with accelerated diabetic retinopathy.
The term "copper wiring" refers to detectable changes in the
arteriolar light reflex of the tiny blood vessels in your eyes.

Here is a brief, but fairly good discussion of "copper wiring",
hypertension, and diabetic retinopathy.

I have "copper wiring" in both eyes, and loss of a portion of the
macula in one eye... This eye stuff is no joke. Take care out there.
