Default De-Ch*nging with Windows Mail under Vista?

I may have found a way to killfile all messages crossposted
to the cardiology newsgroup if you're using the Windows
Mail newsreader under Vista, but I'd like to test it before
I describe the details. Could someone count all the
messages that arrive crossposted to that newsgroup
in about the next 24 hours after this messages reaches
you, and post the results, so I'll know how many I'm filtering
out?

Not me! I KF them as soon as I see them. If I see them.

I used to do that, but now I'm trying for a way to do it that
doesn't require so much attention.

I use OE (I know... don't hassle me about it, I have no choice) and just
looked through my message rules. I have no less than 8 rules set up to
filter out the Chungster. Trouble is all the trollers who delight in trying
to bait the poor guy. Why don't they realize it's nonproductive? It only
irritates others who've tried to block the spew..... <sigh>

Which version of Windows are you using? If it's XP with the SP2
update, you can now install Windows Live Mail, Microsoft's newest
mail/newsreader program.

It's hard to count how many rules I have set up to filter out the
Chungster; many of them are duplicates, and I have a total of
1573 rules for news. I'm trying for a rule to block out all messages
crossposted to the cardiology newsgroup, regardless of who
posts them, so I can stop creating new rules as fast.

No hassle, I promise, just curiosity, which you may ignore, of course, if you
need to!! Why do you have no choice about using OE?

Compared to OE, I don't know. It's likely to be large enough to
need more RAM memory to run at full speed, but work well
otherwise. If you need more information, you're likely to find
people who know the answers in newsgroup:

microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

You could also go to this web site and click on System
Requirements:
