i had amniocentisis done as i was 37 yrs old when i found out i was pregnant

i TOLD the tech, the Dr and everyone else who walked into the room to
make SURE that it would be IMPOSSIBLE for me to see the 'needle'

then, later in the procedure, they asked me if i wanted to see the ultra
sound

sounded great to me........................... they forgot that the 10
inch long needle was ALSO showing on the screen

boy, did they RUN for the barf tray for me
lol

Well, new meter models are constantly coming out.
Maybe the one missed didn't exist when they first started planning the
study. Surely it took more than a month to do the study and print it.
Then ___ weeks before I heard about it here, then another week before I
found it at the library, and a few more days before I called Bernstein's
office.......

Change is inevitable.
Liberals need to learn that "inevitable" is not a synonym for "good."
Conservatives should learn that "inevitable" is not a synonym for "bad."

I got my new free One touch slim colorized ultra the other
day. I did a little testing with the same code strips in it
and my old ultra and my Accu-check Aviva using the testing
fluid that came with the new one touch. Two strips in each,
six tests with fluid in about 2 minutes. Varied +- 10 points.
Yes 20 points spread.

Good thing my life does not depend on it huh?

peace
dawg

Just found this on Jenny's blog

http://diabetesupdate.blogspot.com/2...our-meter.html

amazing! my camera flashes a low battery warning for a while then
*before* the voltage drops to a level that it will no longer function
effectively it locks up and won't function again until the batteries
are replaced

You'd think they might build a similar feature into medical test
equipment
