Default Food preferednces

I went through all of the fads and finally arrived
at a widely varied diet. I do eat sugar.
I just try to balance things and keep reduced
quantity.

A few items have proved to not suit me. I
learn to leave them alone.

I had to learn to not use food as a pacifier or
as entertainment.

Even in early adult life i found I did not enjoy
he "better restaurants"

Today I am gaining a little weight since my GI
tract has been so torn up. Keeping more in
there seems to help with the residual discomfort.

I still say "eating less" is a big part of the answer.

The complete answer for diabetics is eating less, down to the right
amount:

http://groups.google.com/group/sci.m...8812d72ab4e17?

May you and other dear friends have a blessedly wonderful 2008th year
since the birth of our LORD Jesus Christ as our Messiah, the Son of
Man ...

.... by being hungrier:

http://groups.google.com/group/sci.m...1e617d10bd689?

Hunger is wonderful ! ! !

It's how we know what GOD desires, which is all that is good.

Yes, hunger is our knowledge of good versus evil that Adam and Eve
paid for with their and our immortal lives.

"Blessed are you who hunger NOW...

.... for you will be satisfied." -- LORD Jesus Christ (Luke 6:21)

Amen.

Here is a Spirit-guided exegesis of Luke 6:21 given in hopes of
promoting much greater understanding:

Be hungrier, which is healthier.

Marana tha

Prayerfully in the awesome name of our Messiah, LORD Jesus Christ,

Andrew <><

Kate I do not assume anything about you. I do appreciate some of your
posts.

I do know eating less is a good thing and what Chung says is
not an issue to me.

I do not hate or like Chung. He is a distressed human and does not
need abuse for entertainment. He is very wrong on many things but
no different from many other popular posters. We must live and let
live.

We do need to act like adults, not pouting teens here. We vary in
ability to communicate but each should try to stop the abuse that is
too common. Let all post, read what you want, and try to sort it
out.

Do you realize that I have no idea who and what you may be.
Most of what I see from you is good.

I would hope all are good people with a fair sense of values.

I normally eat very large meals but they are quite low in carb. Like I can
eat an overflowing dinner plate full of raw salad veggies (but I like
salads... ) I think the composition of the meal is more important than
the size.

I remember when a young type 1 friend of ours used to be told to shoot x
amount of insulin for a small meal and y amount for a large meal. This had
nothing to do with the composition of the meal, just the size. Needless to
say his numbers were all over the place. Now he has learned to count carbs
under a different endo at the children's hospital.

To add I am a person with no insulin production. I do use humalog
and one unit will move my blood sugar about 40 points. most of the
time I inject under 5 units. It is set by the BS reading. If I am
lucky it keeps the A1c decent. I do guess at the post eat time to
inject. I normally do not post the numbers since i am not a typical
diabetic. If it helps.
I am a stupid old man and I know so little..
