| | | The Gallery Hello Friends,
This post is very *ON TOPIC*
I was just browsing the gallery on our asd website. http://www.alt-support-diabetes.org/Gallery.htm
I must say, this is the handsomest group of folks I have seen in a
long time!
If there be some of you out there who are reluctant to put pic out
there for us all to see.. Don't worry about it... Let us see what you
look like, please. It is so cool to be able to associate a name with a
face...
And now back to our regular programming... :-)

Perhaps now would be a good time for us all to take stock of those who
are not longer with us....
Anyone gone missing whom any of you know about? I can think of a
few... such as Sleepy, but I do see others missing. Any word of their
whereabouts?

Thx Will,
very nice photo of yourself.
Pitty that the gallery mainly has photo's of people that are nolonger active
posting (I think ?? )
I made a pdf file of the continuous glucose monitoring. The link Alan posted
in the thread : "Continuous Glucose Monitoring of Non-diabetics" . Maybe
it's an idea to put in on that site because newbies ,after testing a few
times ,all want to know what is "normal" ????
Thx Will

Thanks, Gys
I agree. It seems like some of the people in the gallery are no longer
actively posting, which is a sad thing.... On the other hand, I am
sure they all have their reasons for not posting, and we must respect
that. I only hope that their non-posting is not due to the ultimate
reason, an untimely passing.
I think your idea of the pdf file of that article for retention and
ease of reading is excellent. I will do the same thing. I also agree
that it might be good to make it readily available to anyone wanting
the information contained in the article..... especilly newbies. Since
I am not the webmaster, however, I would not know how to go about
putting the link or the whole article on the asd website.
Hope you are having a great day.

Hi Loretta,
No I do not use glasses for distance, but I am virtually blind close up,
without reading glasses, and all the more so, since only one eye really
works well. I even wear reading glasses, so I can see the food on my plate
at mealtimes!
Thanks for the compliment. That picture was taken about nine months after
diagnosis, after I had lost over 50 lbs.... I have gained about 10 pounds
back, but so far I am holding on.... Tom was right a while back, when he
noted that the original picture I had up here showed a much fatter Will...
The one up there now is a completely different picture, though..... no
photoshop tricks.

Are there any guidelines for the size and format of the picture? I sent one

Hi Anon,
I think a .jpg in the range of 275-500K would work very well... The
file does not need to be huge to put up a pic... In fact, they might
prefer the smaller sized ones.

Hi Gill,
I would say it is for both... As long as you both show up on film ;-)
Who's healthy? ... As far as I know, we are all dying...if only in the
philosophical sense... Show me the person who says he/she is"healthy",
and I can mount a challenge... The years and everything else just get
to us humans.
All that matters is that we are here for each other, in a truly caring
and committed way.
How are you this evening? I hope you are very well... :-)

If the webmaster is reading, my current blurb points to one of my
websites, but says "Don't have a picture of what I look like now."
That is out of date. A more recent pic is can be seen at http://groleau.freeshell.org
And you are welcome to copy that image into the gallery if you wish.
I'll try to update the "personal comments" in the near future.
Speaking of which, if you change the TD in the table cell

it will look better. (I used square brackets to prevent
certain newsreaders from starting a table cell and wondering

tall is that in feet and inches? At any rate, very nice looking boys.
Mother and father aren't too shabby either. :-)

Glad I could help, Cheri... It is so nice to see you, so to speak. :-)
The weekend is a little cold and grey, over here on the East Coast...
A little while ago there was mixed snow, sleet, and rain coming
down... Just a yukky day, weather wise. The good news is that it is
almost Spring!
I just had a chicken caesar salad wrap and a glass of Australian
Shiraz.... in honor of Alan ;-)

happy to see my friends in ASD. It sort of took me back for a moment,
like maybe he was patronizing me, but then I realized...you are my
friends, and he is my ...well...he is my 18 year old husband. LOL

Here is the easy height conversion. Just remember these
three:
5' = 152cm or 1.52m
6' = 183cm or 1.83m
Every 2.5cm is 1".
So, 2m is 17cm more than 6', 17cm is about 6 1/2" thus 2m is
about 6'6 1/2".
Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.

inches work well for me.
Cheri
( on the day that I die I will not know the metric system) I don't need
to.

| | | Re: The Gallery Well, I went to the gallery and see we have new pictures up. Yeah Sure
is dapper, Amber Lynn is abeautiful young girl, Donna you seem to be so
nice. Cheri, I have to say I never expected that you would look so
conservative. YOur personality belies how you look. Imagine when
people meet you and learn what a crackerball you really are, they must
be in shock. In my mind, I thought you would look like a floozy, I
guess I am the only one that looks that way. lol, hardly
It was really great going through the gallery and putting the names and
the faces together. It makes me feel like I know who I am talking to.
I am trying to find a newer picture to put up. One without the ex
husband
I so enjoyed looking ihope everyone does it.
