Charlie & Grace, I'm one of the newer folks here. But, take a look at what I
just posted under the subject line: ABCs of ASD.

Then, since I am absolutely sure that that's not going to cover
abbreviations etc. & is just a *start*, holler back with what other ones you
are not sure of! Thanks.

1. Diabetes Dictionary -
http://diabetes.niddk.nih.gov/dm/pub...nary/index.htm
2. Healthfinder - http://www.healthfinder.gov/default.asp
3. The Merck Manuals - http://www.merck.com/mmpe/index.html
4. GLOSSARY OF BIOCHEMICAL, MEDICAL CHEMISTRY, CELL BIOLOGY, AND
DIABETIC TERMS - http://users.adelphia.net/~fwroy/glossary.html
(This is one I put together for my own use about 4 years ago. It is not
up to date for things like Byetta.)

Heck no, you're not bugging us! Helping newbies is part of the reason
here. When I first came, I had problems with YMMV. Literally, it means:
"your mileage may vary". We use it to indicate when we've tried a strategy
that worked for us, but realize it may have to be tweaked for someone else
to achieve the same results. While there are some generalizations that can
be made for this disease, there is a lot of variation in how each individual
reacts to certain foods, amounts of exercise, etc.
So which abbreviationss are giving you problems?
