| | | Happy stress is stress nonetheless Getting ready for this bed to go up in the living room is just about to do
me in. Stress is the at the top of the list as far as causing an mg
*episode* - NOT to be confused with a crisis, just a worsening of condition,
have to manually lift my legs - and I am going through a stress never before
encountered. I am having to relinquish all *work* towards preparation, and
I have NEVER before had to sit away and not be able to participate, and Jim
has never been responsible for the whole kit and kaboddle. Roles have been
totally reversed. But we are persevering...... LOL I have tried several
times to do some small jobbies, normal no problem, but just could not do
them. My eyes are almost totally shut, especially the right one. Victoria,
HH worker is due here some time, not sure when.
Eating and drinking is proving to be a problem for us with it coming through
my nose rather than going to my esophagus (*could* lead to serious problem
if I don't pay attention to it) because all the facial and neck muscles seem
to have gone on vacation for the day. "Yoohoo..... come back..... we've got
an exciting day..... don't you know.....?" Nope. They say when we are all
done they'll settle back down to more normal.
This all gets so involved that to make a trip to the br, Jim gathers the
mobile phone, calendar, and one other thing in case one of the doctors'
offices returns his call while he is away upstairs.... yep, it happened!!!
hahahaha
My fbg was 78 this morning, and after letting a bit of cottage cheese slide
down, I'm *only* at 159, so feel like I'm doing pretty good in that area,
though we are having to eat according to what I can swallow, and not
according to my better diet.
Anyway............ this wonderful stress really has me down, and washed up
today. LOL Funny thoughts would be greatly appreciated. It's a good time,
but good times have a price to pay, too.

My first thought, and may I be struck dead if I'm lying, is that with
cottage cheese coming out your nose, you'd be voted Queen of the Jr.

| | | Re: Happy stress is stress nonetheless Billie, If I ever had a need to come up with somethiong funny, this iS
rough because there is nothing funny about your situation.
Here is a joke I heard yesterday
The story of the three pigs and the big bad wolf.
the big bad wolf knocked on the door of the first little pig and said
let me in or I will huff and I will puff, till I blow the house down and
he did.
he went to the second little pig and told him in the same thng. The
little pig didnt let me in, so the wolf huffed and puffed and blew his
house down.
Now the third pig built a house of brick and he was a bit more
confident. He was the leader of the pack and he had many friends. As
the wolf approached his house , a limousine drives up and out comes
three pigs, all dress in black shirts and pants and white suspenders
with a hat on their heads. The wolf not bothered said Let me in or I
will huff and i will buff till I blow your house in. The little pig
said I dont think so, I want to introduce you to my cousins, the guinea
pigs
thats is the best I could do Blllie, I hope there are no groans.

Okay, a joke....
A highway patrolman sees a car with four little old ladies toodling
down the road at 22 miles per hour. He thinks to himself, "going too
slow can be as dangerous as going too fast," so he decides to pull
them over and let them know they need to speed up a little. He puts
his lights on, the car stops, he gets out and says, "I want to talk to
you about your speed."
The little old lady driving says, "Officer, I'm going the posted
speed, 22 miles per hour," and she points to a road sign. The other
little old ladies in the car are big eyed and very quiet.
The officer suppresses a smile, and says, "Ma'am that sign is the
route number, not the speed limit sign. The speed limit is 50 miles
per hour."
The little old lady driving nods. "Okay officer, I'll go 50."
But the officer is a still concerned that the other ladies in the car
look so scared, so he asks, "Are your passengers okay?"
The little old lady replies, "They'll be fine in a few minutes. We
just got off route 119."

Hi Billie, I just don't know what to say, except I really hope you
improve soon, once you get settled in your new bed arrangement. Your
circumstances do sound dire.... I am sure I speak for many of us, when

Billie thanks for sharing what you are going through. It must be
so difficult for you to be the one being helped through this. I'm guessing
that you probably have always been the person offering help when needed
by someone else. Please thank Jim for updating us a couple times
on what was going on with you recently.
Wishing you both all the best.

| | | Re: Happy stress is stress nonetheless with good communication!!!!! LOL You guys are the mostest!!!!!
I was just trying to elicit cheerful thoughts, and thought that if, when
anyone happened to think of me today, think lightly, not gloomily nor
cheerlessly, remembering the joy that will be at the end of it all.
But.......... now that you've started something, why not keep it going?
You know, we have always worked with the youth of the church wherever we
lived, and it really did a lot to keeping us thinking young.........
naw....... mine started way before that....... I got in trouble as a
teenager during evening church services. Getting tickled has always been a
*problem* with me, and somehow or other I just couldn't leave it outside the
doors of the church, no matter which ones I came in through. Whenever I was
not playing the piano or organ, though, I was sitting wherever the teenagers
were sitting, about six rows or so from the front. Invariably, *the
preacher* (you believe that don't you, never one of us?) would say something
that would illicit a wee tiny giggle, that no matter how hard I tried I just
could not stifle. It would grow and grow until everyone else had been drawn
in, their hands covering their mouths in attempts to hide their laughter.
First, the preacher would politely refer to us in some slight manner to
quieten us down, having to repeat himself, each time more sternly, with teen
after teen managing to stuff it, and encouraging me to settle down, too.
But, the harder I tried, the worse it would get, until tears would stream,
and by the time the preacher called "Billie Frances" I would be virtually
uncontrollable laughter turned to crying, shaking the whole pew, not a
single friend looking my way, the outcast! I honestly do remember one
service that he had to stop to give me a chance to get under control, a
drink, whatever.
Jim was telling the kids last night about me taking a celebrity's picture,
him stopping his performance, making a joke out of me, "Hey lady...." (my
camera hung up on me of all times), all this in front of the entire
audience. Nervous? Naw, not I. One of many stupid experiences in my
lifetime. I'm telling you...... I love living life!
Do what you wanna do, but I miscommunicated and didn't mean you had to come
up with stories or jokes, but if you've gotten started, as I did laughing as
a teen, go ahead....... there's no preach gonna call you by name to quieten
down.
Love you all!
Billie........... actually feeling better, though not finished yet.....
think it's the frame of mind........... oh, no.... bg 202 - I forgot to
bolus at lunch.... I did a correction now, though. THIS is how typically
bad I am about forgetting. This is *honestly* the first time I have even
thought to check my bg. It just happens this way sometimes. No one's or no
one thing's fault but my own. Have to set an alarm to check the correction
progress. Being around you all is good for the memory to keep check on the
bg!!

while I have your attention, let me share this story.
I have two children, a son who is unmarried, and a
daughter, married with two boys. The kids are almost
10 and almost 13. Because of distance and travel, I
barely know the boys. They are charming and a lot of
fun, but I sometimes feel a little like a stranger.
So I have taken a house near a beach and all of us,
son, daughter, boys, are going to spend two weeks
together. We are going there at the end of next week
and it should be a hoot!
The hardest part was getting a swimsuit. But I've
done that, and after a visit to a new doctor
tomorrow, I'll start to pack my stuff.
I told you that this was a pleasant story. Love to
you and Jim.

thankfully we're geographically close except for my sister. I've got a 12

really getting to *know* one another due to her lifestyle and such. She is
becoming interested in *girl stuff* and going shopping, and had a blast just
before I went into the hospital going on her first shopping trip with me all
by herself. Because of my writing, the girls get to sign my sales'

How was your swimsuit shopping? It surprised me that I didn't have as much
problem with that as I suspected I might. I have some pictures I would love

show the ptosis of my eyes, and the camel's hump from the Cushing's, but I

I will give your love to Jim. I am trying to get him to write. He just
doesn't realize how much support he does, and would receive here being a

to send to if I really am feeling better. Maybe a project once I am in my

My email address is correct and unmunged. I tried to
write to you a while ago but I screwed something up
and it bounced.
By the time I went to look for a swimsuit, the stores
around here were bare or incredibly expensive. So I
got a suit online and it fit. Woo hoo!!! My son has
promised to take pictures, so I'll show you mine if
you show me yours.
The doctor tomorrow is the first endocrinologist that
I'll see. My ophthalmologist who's a doll insisted
