Health-Care Workers Behaving Badly!

The topic of bad behavior in the health-care workplace was enough to
draw more than 1,600 participants to a multimedia presentation by the
Institute for Healthcare Improvement yesterday.

I recently put an ad in for a part time nurse. I got MANY
replies; the thing that was so surprising was the flaky
qualifications of people who listed they had worked for
medical clinics and doctor offices in positions of direct
patient care. Unbelievably low training and other
qualifications, almost like hiring someone off the street.
People from shyster trade schools with month long training
programs and "certificates".
I had one woman agree to meet me at the doctors office and
then didn't show up. The resumes went all the way from these
rather low life unqualified applicants to a foreign trained
physician.
Now I know why so many clinic and doctors offices are so
poorly run with so many errors and poor treatment of
patients. It was quite evident that many of these clinics
just want to hire the cheapest applicants they can find
without regards to quality. They are interested in profit
mostly, not providing quality personnel for patients.
