Default Help with some products?

Can anyone tell me where, or where else, these items were seen? I
haven't found them locally so they must be in other parts of the
country or stores we don't have here. Other products on the site that
aren't linked haven't been located either.

I have bought them before at netrition.com, but they are no longer
listed. This page
http://www17.netrition.com/ewbw_chocolate_chips.html
says "This product is no longer available since Eat Well, Be Well is
no longer in business. Dixie Diner has a very similar product called
Carb Counters Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips available - for a limited
time only. Once the current inventory is sold out, they also will no
longer be available. "

Too bad -- they were good!

John what part of the country are you inquiring about. East is East and
West is West and the brand names are different.

I'm afraid that almost none of the products you list are
sold this side of the equator. Possibly the Weight-watcher's
products, but I'm not even certain of that one.

That's why I've asked people to contribute anything they have found no
matter where in the world they are. I was hoping the list would extend to
products in as many countries and areas as possible. Or maybe someone in
other countries would make lists of their own and all link together... that
would be something.

Thanks for the input.

John

I wasn't being critical, just accurate. For local ones out
here, I'm afraid I'm not much help. I buy most of my
low-carb items in the greengrocer's, as fresh veges, or in
the butcher shop and fishmongers.

Nice site with some good links and humour; but we have a
difference in philosophy. That doesn't mean either of us is
wrong, just that I decided early to steer away from
processed foods including those processed to be low-carb -
unless I did the processing myself at home.

Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.

John, I wish I could have helped you, but your scope is too large for
me. :-)

Oh, no. I didn't take it as being critical. I understand what you mean.
Actually, there hasn't been any input from anywhere except the US so I guess
it will be a US site only.

I don't think our philosopy is different at all. If you look at the site
you'll see that it does not advocate processed foods but I would venture to
say almost all diabetics have a low-carb product in the house. A person who
eats carefully, fresh vegetables, meats and so on in quanities they've
learned to eat by testing, may still enjoy a treat now and then - and
instead of eating, say, a high carb, high sugar piece of chocolate, why not
eat one that is low-carb instead? - or a serving of ice cream with less
sugar and carbs? The list is just to show where they are and that they are
available. Personally, I've only tried a few of them and only once or twice
although I like the Jello Sugar Free Puddings and usually make it twice a
week.

Anyway, thanks for the comments. Whether or not you agree that there should
be such a list, your comments, positive or negative, are still food for
thought.
