Default lantus to levemir switch

Just over 2 weeks ago I switched from Lantus to Levemir. The endo told me
some people require more units of Levemir than they did with Lantus. I was
previous on 22 units of Lantus, I now require 30 units of Levemir to get the
same results. Has anyone made the switch and was it unit for unit or more
with Levemir?

I'll put it to the test tonight. I still have several vials of Lantus left,
I'm going to shoot my old 22 unit of Lantus and see what happens tomorrow. I
might have to switch back to Lantus. I just wanted the Levemir because of
the pens. The syringe/vials are hard for my old eyes and fingers to use.
