Default Lavash Bread

I went to the grocery store (Walmart) this afternoon and found Lavash bread
(also spelled Lavish).
It is a Turkish flat bread that is low in carbs.
The kind I got is made from Flax, Oat Bran & Whole Wheat Flour.

It tastes better than most low-carb flat breads I have tried.
It claims to be a good source of ALA and Omega-3.
It is 7 total carbs with 3g of fiber.

I've been buying that for a while. I don't have exact numbers on what it
does to my blood sugar, as I haven't tested it in a long time. But, the
last time I tested my weekend breakfast of a BLT rollup on half a piece
of the lavash (the serving size on the package), my 1 and 2 hr PP
readings were in the 120 range. So I've kept up with it. (For others
looking for this, it's Joseph's brand; Joseph also makes pita, in
regular, whole wheat, and low carb versions, and low carb tortillas.)

I agree. I've been buying that one for some time now. It, and others are on
my website.

I used to eat it. Haven't had any in years. Would be just my luck to be
allergic to it now.

Thanks for the note - I checked at the market today (Fred Meyer) and found
several varieties of high fibre - low net carb tortillas - picked up a
pack that is 4 net.

The one I go to used to have a few other types in that same section but I
haven't seen them lately.

Mmm! Is good! Had a very nice prawn salad wrap for lunch... but the
stuff is baked in Wisconsin or similar, it's a ridiculous waste of
resources to ship it over here... back to home-made tortillas, I
think!
