To the right of the list, I need to put a bold caveat. It needs to
stress that the list must not be mistaken for a main diet but rather
things to play with. It needs to warn of the possibility of misleading
labeling and unsavory ingredients. Anybody want to take a crack at it?

I don't know about crap but... the layout is nice, the list
is good, the promise of a caveat, good. But the tone of the
talk about diabetes puts a rather negative spin on diabetes.
Sure people have to change their lifestyle but it doesn't
have to be as bad as painted. It seems to make diabetics
look like they are compulsive eaters (and perhaps some are)
and that they will die without all their favourite goodies,
there is professional help for that kind of problem. If
someone is eating their way into diabetes then they would
have eaten their way into something else anyway. Sometimes
diabetes is the lifesaver for those kinds of people. It
makes us sit up and take note of how bad our lifestyle has
become. I knew for sure that I didn't want to end up like
the mother in What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

Hinting that having type 2 means you now have to starve
(unless you have some low carb snacks from the list on hand)
would paint things very black for me if I was a newbie. Some
things could do with re-wording - like really bad diabetes
is better described as uncontrolled diabetes. Gives a person
more of a sense that there is also a controlled diabetes. By
the way, have you been to the low carb newsgroup? I know low
carb products used to be discussed in there quite often. I
think a couple of people also had websites.

Great web page.

I'd say you not only hit the nail on the head, you kicked it between the
legs.

Great webpage!

Thanks to your efforts many newly diagnosed diabetics will find that their
lives don't necessarily have to be as drab and unexciting when it comes to
foods as they may have been led to believe. As someone once told me, the
quality of life is as important as the quantity of life.

Good Job!

John, some of that was really funny, LOL!

You might change "None of this stuff IS true" to something like "None
of this stuff WAS true" and move it up a paragraph. Because there was
one true thing in that third paragraph: "If you have any other
questions about diabetes, the answer will always be, "maybe" or "maybe
not." That's diabetes for you."
