Default magazine writer looking for a few good interviews

Hey everyone,
My name is Angie Marek and I'm with SmartMoney magazine. I'm
currently working on a story about how many doctors are increasingly
retiring early and how many experts are expecting a physician shortage
in the coming years. I think this is a particularly difficult
situation for people with chronic conditions, who are so dependent
upon good, regular relationships with physicians. Some parts of the
country-- especially rural areas or places with high malpractice
insurance costs-- feel this trend much more acutely than others.
In any case, I'm currently looking for an anecdote from someone
whose doctor retired and who then had trouble either finding a new
doctor or getting set up with one they felt comfortable with. If
anyone has such an anecdote, I would love it if you would contact me
at amarek@hearst.com or 212-373-9333. I would be indebted to you for
the help.
Thanks in advance,
Angie
