Further,

in page http://www.mendosa.com/gilists.htm the "wholemeal rye bread" #85,
is indicated as having ZERO carbs.

Is this true ? I suppose I mean, 'any comments' ?

Uh, no, Mr Optimist - they tested it 4 times; the mean GL for a 30g
serve is 8. Not bad - but it only applies to that specific type of
Canadian flour. GL and GI is very dependent on locality, harvest
period, etc, etc - and your response to it will be very idiosyncratic
too. Use the GL as a guide, but ratify it for you by testing.
