Default Misuse of religion.

I do know a lot of diabetics and many are religious. I have
never seen one helped by pious behavior or pious
talk.

I do know a lot of religious people. They are religious and it
does make them better people. They seem to have a more
serene life. They do less harm to others

Intelligent people do understand our brain has limits in it's ability
to perceive the world. We consider this in the way we act.

Those that use religion in war or other acts hurting others
had better hope the atheist are correct. They are surely bound
for hell.

As am old person, I receive help from dedicated
church people. None of them harass me on the
issue of religion.

But here the adamant demanding ones detract us
from our diabetic info needs.

Yes. Many participants here in ASD are religious.

Indeed, they are being hurt by the hatred in their hearts.

Not when their religion is one of hatred rather than love.

This is not what I discern here.

They are too busy hurting themselves with their religion of hate.

Such are those who subscribe to the religion of hate, which is borne
from satan's lies.

Brethren of LORD Jesus Christ have a relationship with HIM rather than
a religion.

It seems what resides in your own heart has distracted you.

Andrew, hatred many be confused with paranoia.

Some people are from those that survived by hatred
and killing of others. We see it every day.

Back in 2/3/1997 I was softened up by more than a dozen police
officers.

GOD brought me back just as HE brought back Lazarus.

You are witnessing the reason for HIS bringing me back.

Thinking of you as I slowly sip my cinnamon tea, savoring it, becoming
infinitely hungrier:

The world is understandably afraid of hungry people :-)

GOD is with those who hunger.

Once a person passes 40 their age is as they think and act.
I know young 70yo's and ancient 45yo's.

Some of my body is officially 60; some parts are older or
even passed their use-by, but the brain is often 12.

You think so ?? Lazarus was dead as you and I know it. Cell death.
Decomposition in progress. Bringing him back to live is another lie
as the many lies fabricated by the many authors of the Bible, the
so-called Book written by your God. Sorry that you believe in fiction

Do you suppose young people, if they could look inside our old brains, would
say, "Hey, that looks just like me in there!"

So the medical profession, which you claim to be part of, had nothing to do
with your recovery?
After you scaped yourself off the sidewalk, you went straight to church to
pray and not to the ER?
No medication, no surgery, just prayers.
I don't believe you.

Many times, when I'm thinking about something, it "suddenly occurs" to me
that I'm 65 years old. It's like.... "Wait, that won't work, I'm 65!"

John, There is a road through life that most of us follow.

A seven year old kids absorbs knowledge at a great rate. They can
learn music, language very rapidly.

It is noted most basic scientific advancements are made by people that
are under 40.

WE develop experience but lose ability to learn all
of our lives.

At one time I was handling 17 scientific tasks. Today I
lose on one.

Now I am trying to watch Larry King and
reading the results of a search on Banting.
Will lot comprehend much of either.

Those that do not accept natural limitations are only fooling
themselves.

I do know that best of the older scientist I have
associated with a very humble. The few showmen
try to hide the aging.

The Larry King show was a discussion on religion from many
view points. That is a forum for some here to pursue..

Possibly. But I do like to try to expand the envelope
occasionally. So I'll continue to fool myself. Sometimes I
fool myself so much that I go past those limitations:-)

Most people never go far enough to even approach their
"natural limitations".

Aren't most, if not all, wars perpetrated by religion, greed or a

How many more Americans must die to satisfy Bush's ego?
Let us all pray for Bush - God knows he needs it!

As of Augest 20, 2007 it has been 1603 days since Bush
while standing in front of the banner which was sent
to the ship by the White House saying MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
declared,"In the Battle of Iraq, the United States and our
allies have prevailed." IOW MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Isn't Bush's "surge" of troops working well?
Pay attention to the frequency of American deaths since it began.

The Larry King Show ad had an excellent program Monday Night on this
issue of religion in the world now. It is usually repeat later.

The spread of Atomic Weapons will cover the issue soon. Greed
has placed them in the wrong hands already. They kill
all. Reason there was no WW3.

NDEs are a dime-a-dozen, what with tabloids and talk shows.
A curse of boils would be much more impressive.

I was limited from birth. My information came from the head of
the Math department of a substantial University. I was lamenting that
the length of productivity of the educated is too short..
My theme is it would be a great gain if we had a longer productive
life span.

WE now spend to educate a person for over 20 years.
Advanced education requires more time.

This discussion with the Math professor took place when I was 25.

To stay on this theme. WE waste so much talent to mediocre
jobs. I observed a few that succeeded and were very productive.

I understand that in some European Counties they better systems
now.

The Hungarian Communist system did a good job in this area.

WE will never find a CURE on the golf course.

In France, we have centres of interest and research.
They are called 'poles'. There are a few for biology,
for example, in Lyon, Toulouse, and Sophia-Antipolis.

At these places, university campses focus on particular
secotrs of science and companies in that domain of
science have small setups to work with the Campuses
(and see which are the better researchers) which enable
them in their recruiting and Universities in their placements.

I disagree with you Guy. I was a member of the Pope Pious class of '42
and learned to love him and most all the popes except that Polish guy.

Sad to read about your unwise choice to blaspheme against the Holy

I saw that what you posted in our link;

Are you a "snake"?

I think you need to take a look in Proverbs about what
God hates in Causing discord in and with the brother.

You claimed that something would happen in the future
that did not happen. That makes you a False prophet for sure
for sure!

and now you are accusing me that you think you know more
about the Holy Spirit then God Does?

Sense you failed in your pretending to be a prophet as we all
seen, I usually do not even read your posts and replies.
but for some reason "THE HOLY SPIRIT" told me to go look
at what you posted toward me and your high and mighty
haughtiness.
You only made it more apparent you have not one iota of sense
of what you are doing.
Don't even think you are Christian when you take the place of
God in your replies.

Mistylein,

No.

These who do the will of GOD are my brothers.

Your bearing false witness against me is forgiven by me.

This simply shows that the Holy Spirit is absolutely right to convict
