| | | In-N-Out Burger Get the double double protein burger with onion and no bun, lettuce
wrapped, no fries. It's great!
This family chain is well run with great staff and always packed with
customers. Sadly, they're only in California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona.
Many restaurants only do drive thrus but with two lanes.
Check out their animation--turn on your speakers. http://www.in-n-out.com/ |

Looks like a good idea, except I doubt I'd want to eat a burger that
hits the grill only after I order it, but is then served that soon
afterwards. |

In-N-Out is so popular, there is always a line-up of cars in their
drive-thru so they're always grilling burgers and assembling them fresh.
The downside is that the wait can be a bit longer than a McDonalds drive
thru because of their popularity.
They pay their teenage help nearly twice the minimum wage but are very
choosy about hiring only the most motivated workers. Their managers can
make up to a 100 grand a year with bonuses. I know this because we
invited their manager to my high school's "Career Day" and we were
shocked to learn she was making more than our teachers. |

In that case, you would enjoy the burgers at In-N-Out. They're made to
order, not mass produced like McDonalds. |

As long as the name doesn't describe the behavior

If the cooking time is that short, shouldn't I expect the meat to be burned
on the outside, but still raw on the inside? |

I prefer a 3 by 3 on a bun with onions and french fries. For me requires 24
units of Novolog to prevent BG spikes. Viva la Novalog!

Look at the thickness of In-N-Out's hamburgers. They take all of a
couple of minutes per side to cook. |

We don't have an In-N-Out close enough I've seen any, and that animation
looks more like the cooking time is under 30 seconds. |

I haven't seen it, but I imagine it's edited.
How many people in today's world would spend
two whole minutes watching a burger cook?
