The other day I was searching for something online, can't even remember
what now, but ran across this site and I started reading it, downloaded the
software (after scanning it, which it was clean) installed it and have been
playing with it and actually enjoying it. It's pretty good overall I think.
http://www.sidiary.org/ Is the site. It's pretty extensive diabetic
software,
simular to what Animas puts out in it's eZManager software for my Animas
pump. It records your glucose, blood pressure, A1C other labs, etc as well
as it has a nutrition dialog in there, you can add new or amend whats there.
You can set it to mg or mmol, kgs or lbs. It has places for T1's on
injections
or pumping, T2's on just diet and exercise, T2's on d&e and orals, or T2's
injecting. They've really thought about all types of diabetics.. Including
I noticed
it mentioning where to put those who might be MODY.
What I liked best about it and why I downloaded it was it can connect to my
cell phone through bluetooth. Your cell phone needs to be a smartphone or
have Java available, which I think the newer phones all have one and/or
both.
I needed one of the drivers off their site and mine linked right up within
about
15sec and worked perfectly. I did have to save the JAVA software for the
phone on my system then use my phones software to transfer from my system
to my phone through the USB.. all in all, took me about 20 mins to read and
install everything to the point of it up and running.
One of the nicer features is, it can SMS or email your results to your
doctor if
you set it to a certain parameter. Such as having a bg of 420 with ketones
it
will auto send to my doctor with that info and "please reply asap with
recommendation" -- it also has several graphs and you can email them or
print
as well.
Anyhow, thought I'd share my discovery. The version prior to this one is
free,
but guess they sold out the company and now it's $18 for the latest version
but
you get a free 30 days trial that isn't limited.
