| | | A new low I don't know what I did to deserve it, but I went all weak and shaky
while cooking dinner. I'm T2 and don't hypo, but I thought I would
check anyway. 3.2! I have never measured less than 4 point something
since diagnosis.
Dinner was bacon and fried eggs, so even if I chomped down on some
white bread the fat was going to delay absorption and I don't have
sugary sweets or drinks around the house. I think I'll skip tonight's
power walk. (By "skip" I mean abandon, not go skipping, but you knew
that.)
I have looked up my symptoms in my medical reference book and it seems
that the technical term is "feeling like shit".

Such a diet does result in depletion of glycogen stores so that
hypoglycemic attacks are more likely to happen.
It remains smarter to simply eat less, down to the right amount: http://HeartMDPhD.com/BeSmart

Interesting. Had you had an unusually carby lunch, or done a lot
between, that would cause a liver dump?

Lunch was nothing that I haven't had before without drama. Exercise
afterwards consisted of walking between my computer and where I make
coffee. If that was going to hypo me I'd have to go back to sugar in
the coffee.
I forced down a couple of slices of toast with dinner and I was still
only 5.7 an hour afterwards. I'm 5.9 now (2 hours later) so I seem to
be stable again. Perhaps I'm cured <evvbg>.

You should always keep something sweet around, even in your vehicle, just in
case. |

Sometimes if I'm using my brain for something new and engrossing, I
can use up a surprising amount of carbs... otherwise, we'll just have
to put it down to diabetes just keeping you on your toes...

Can't offer any suggestions. Sometimes it happens for no
perceivable reason. Those "out of the blue" unexplainable
ones happened to me a couple of times during my first three
years after dx; not since.

Wow,it's strange how diabetes reacts differently in people. I had
trouble becoming hypo when I wasn't on insulin. Since being on it,I
have not gone hypo but still am not quite getting it as low as I want
it. I carry glucose pills with me but have not had to take them since
I went on insulin. The problem with insulin is it is so expensive for
me even with insurance.
