Not much change since I was able to start having lemon juice again,
and cucumber! But that's pretty nice in itself.

I love onions! They're also said to be very cleansing so they are good to
eat when you are sick.

Howdy Davy,

Just depends on the diabetic and the type of red onions. Some varities
of red onions will tend to have more sugar in them than others. That's
what some tastes sweeter then others.

If the onion slices are like the ones I use (with the rings whole,
rather than seperated), then a couple of slices on a burger can move
some people's glucose levels up, ( again just depends on the varity of
red onion).

Each of us is going to be different in the amounts of any one food
item we can eat, and have it not effect our glucose levels.

Davy, you might want to try some other types of onions, to see if you
can fond one that doens't have a much of an effect on you.

Just thought of something Davy...

Are you washing your hands before you test, after eating that bunless
burger?

How much sugar there is onions depends a *lot* on what kind of onions
they are and how they're cooked. Onions aren't the only vegetable of
which that is true. That's one of the reasons you need to test rather
than rely on books if you're trying to keep your BG down.

My ex-wife's mom used to feed the kids onion sandwiches whenever they
got a cold. Judy said she loved them and used to ask her mom for one
when she didn't have a cold, but her mom said not unless you have a
cold.
