Howdy Davy,
Just depends on the diabetic and the type of red onions. Some varities
of red onions will tend to have more sugar in them than others. That's
what some tastes sweeter then others.
If the onion slices are like the ones I use (with the rings whole,
rather than seperated), then a couple of slices on a burger can move
some people's glucose levels up, ( again just depends on the varity of
red onion).
Each of us is going to be different in the amounts of any one food
item we can eat, and have it not effect our glucose levels.
Davy, you might want to try some other types of onions, to see if you
can fond one that doens't have a much of an effect on you.
