study suggests.
Compounds in the flesh could drastically cut or even replace the daily jabs.
Researchers found that pumpkin extract promotes regeneration of damaged
pancreatic cells in diabetic rats, boosting levels of insulinproducing beta
cells and insulin in the blood." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...n_page_id=1774 |

INTERESTING but does it work?
So often i/we see news regarding possible 'cures' for want of a better word
from 'other countries' and not from the
us/uk/Europe.
Ok might sound a little cynical and i DO hope that these 'other' countries
have found a possible solution to our plight but my question is
WHY is it other countries like Russia/china/new Zealand and who ever come up
with encouraging news?
It's possible ive missed some news from the 'western hemisphere' but please
forgive me...i cannot remember anything as encouraging as this one unless of
course it's a fake!
All i can say is that's it's VERY encouraging that people here do pick up on
such research which would otherwise go unnoticed!
Thankyou to one and all who post such news which would otherwise go
unnoticed.
Cheers

And to me is in the deep South:-)
Here, we tend to think of ourselves as Westerners in Asia.

There MIGHT be something in this one - see Frank Jefferson's posts on
the subject in mhd - but so far it's for rats only : ) For us
mortals, eating squash and popping Metformin is the nearest we come to
this wonder drug.

LOL.
G'day G'day Alan,
Here is Hawkes Bay we tend to think of ourselves as very Southern
Mediterranean. It is something to do with the climate, the food and
wine.

Good point Chris.
We get to see each day before it is polluted by some other country.

I thought I had already sent a message about this, but it seems tonot
have been posted, so hee goes again.
If they are talking aboout a pumpkin extract, that would imply, to me,
that some form of concentrated pumpkin or part of the pumpkin is needed to
help, say the amount of x in 10 or 100 pumpkins. It woudl end up beign a
medicine or supplement, not just eating "a pumpkin a day keeps the
diabetes at bay."

G'day G'day Wendy,
You have though it is in another thread. I replied to it.

Yes, I'm sure you're right - and Quentin posted a response to you, you
did post it earlier : ) But on the assumption that a little of what I
like will do me good, I'll carry on eating the things - and who knows,
there may be some benefit!

Well not to sound racist, but whenever a Chinese "remedy" is mentioned, my
defences go up. Last one I heard of was melons doing a similar thing, but
that turned out to be bollocks, so I won't hold my breath on this one.
