Only GOD can soften your kid brother's heart making him want to become

As for newsreaders, I'm using motzarella with my Outlook Express. He can
sign up at www.motzarella.org. I've been quite pleased with it.

Does he need a newsreader or some access to news groups?
I get access through my ISP & use OE for reading.
Newsgroup access is included in my internet account fee & OE came with the
computer, so neither required extra or ongoing cost I'm not already paying.

Tell him to pull out the Ease of Use or Accessories or whatever & see if
there's not a magnifying glass he can position over whatever part of the
screen he is either typing on or reading from. And, of course, so many things
can have the font size set.

Thanks again, Michelle. He's spent decades building and modifying
computers, so he knows a lot more about this stuff than I do. I, however,

I was so glad when IE7 came out with screen magnifier so easy to do on the
fly. I hate all those web sites with microprint that *will not* let you
adjust the font size -- and many of them are *medical* aimed at people who
may very well have....*vision problems*.
Apparently all these sites are put together by young people who don't think
they will ever need bifocals or to put their noses up against the screen, so
why should they care???

I have a reat time with my MacMini, as I can blow up pretty much anything
on the web. Some PDF's that I get won't blow up and cause me a problem,
even sittint right on top of the screen with my nose, not to the
grindstone, but almost to the screen. My mail reader is somewhat
magnified, but is, at least to me, less flexible. I am, as you all may
recall a computer duffer.

Deeziners and their microfonts are among the most criticised species
in certain web design groups. Alongside flash and navigation that
doesn't work without scripts.
CSS with font set to 100% means *you* get to choose how big you see
the print on other people's sites.
Though my eyesight is still pretty good I *hate* squinting at the
screen when I can sit back and run it at 1024x768 |

You might want to rephrase that to blame Microsoft for their POS
browser that will not let YOU change the text size. In FireFox, a
<CTRL>+ increases the size, and a <CTRL>- decreases it. A <CTRL>O
makes it normal (normal being whatever the web page author set it to.
